Your Click Can Help Someone Rebuild Their Home

This post brought to you by Pfister. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m not really a “causes” girl. It’s just not how I roll. That said, there are a few things that get me worked up. I shared about one of those things here
Another thing that gets to me is people who need help with their home, but either can’t afford it or are not able to do the work. You may not know this about me, but in 2009, I remodeled my in-law’s house. My father-in-law, Jack, had Parkinson’s disease and my mother-in-law, Pat, was taking care of him and Katie, my sister-in-law who has Down’s Syndrome. Pat was doing the best she could to keep the family functioning, but her own health was in decline and caring for the house was the last thing they could do.
Consequently, our family made the decision to move Pat, Jack and Katie to a house they owned across the state, next door to their oldest daughter, Mary. This left their old house in a bad shape. It was too damaged to sell and needed a lot of work to get it on the market. A LOT of work.
Here’s my sister and I about to engage in a grueling war against moldy dry wall and insulation. It was epic battle, but we came out victorious!
Suesan & Jen vs. The House
My in-laws were lucky people they had both family that could help them and the resources to do the work. Many people are not that lucky.

That’s why I was so happy to help spread the word about Friends of Pfister’s campaign. You’ve all heard of Pfister, right? Pfister has been around for nearly 100 years providing a wide variety of innovative plumbing fixtures to nearly every home in America. Well, at least the ones I lived in. I think there was a Pfister faucet in nearly every house I lived in as a kid. In fact, I thought bathtub faucets were called a Pfister and not a faucet.
I also thought llamas had two heads until I saw one at the zoo when I was 12. I asked my Mom where the ones with two heads were. She got a good laugh out of it. Apparently, I really believed there was such an animal as a Push Me/Pull Me. Thanks Dr. Doolittle.
Where was I? Oh yeah, bathtub faucets are not Pfisters, but they should be, right?
At any rate, Pfister will donate $1.00 in materials for use in Rebuilding Together’s reconstruction projects (up to $20,000).

Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit organization providing critical home repairs, modifications, and improvements for America’s low-income homeowners. There are a lot of good people who could use this help.
You can help with a single click. Simply “Like” Friends of Pfister campaign site to trigger a donation. You can also visit the Pfister Facebook page and opt-in by providing your email address and zip code. That’s a pretty easy way to help people in need.
Rebuild Together has been around for over 30 years. It rebuilds the homes and lives of the nation’s most vulnerable homeowners and families at no cost to them. How awesome is that?

Think about how much joy it brings to you to take care of your home and make it beautiful. One click of yours could help spread that same joy to someone else. Connect with us and Pfister will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together.
Help is only a click away.

Thanks,
Suesan
